Yoga 2 Pro Issues

2015-01-10, 0:05 AM

Hi

I think i'm having some little problems with my new Y2P.

To be concrete, there are some little points, where i'm asking myself, why i bought a i7 4th Gen and a new SSD.

For example, when i rightklick the Desktop to change some settings or add some symbols, theres always a loading cycle for like 1-2 seconds, wich i never had before. And it doesn't matter how much of the CPU or the Ram is already used.

The second point is about these two things, if i'm not doing anything, everytime about 30% of the Ram is used.

I don't exactly now why, because i have no malware on my device and ther's nothing running in the backround.

Is this normal or am i able to get some driver updates or something for the loading problem?

Greetings

I haven't experienced this... when I right click on the Desktop I get instant response... Memory usage with MS Outlook and Firefox with ~4-5 tabs open is around ~27%...

I got a little speed increase by manually updating some graphic drivers, i dont exactly know why this helped. My memory usage is on standards about 25% but it also doesnt really increase when i'm using chrome or other small programms. It doesnt really matter i guess, since i'm nearly never using things that need all of my ram but i was just wondering if this is normall?
But it really bothers me, when i have to wait for a little rightklick menu on the desktop, wich isn't even the case with my old laptop with crappy hardware.

No, when I bought it i think it was McAffee wich was preinstalled, wich was the first thing i removed, because it's just a crappy Antivirus programm imho, wich uses about the twice amount of ressources than better programms.

But to see if it was my Antivîrus programm i removed everything what could run in the background and is not needed, except all the lenovo malware, because at thise point i didn't know what will become handy at some point.

But for the most programms that run in the background i pretty much disabled these functions.
