Re: Yoga 2 Pro WiFi Replacement Cards????

hobbitz, thanks.

Based on your link, I decided to bite the bullet and order two (we have two Y2P in the household). Even though I may get screwed by customs handling if they get snatched up for processing it's an ok deal. Worst case price delivered is then USD110 for both.

Thanks!

@t33j4y:  I get much better reception and stability than the old N card even though my router is still 2.4 GHz.  Why are you paying US$55 for each card ?  I only paid US$31.90 plus US$1.99 for Standard International Shipping (registered air mail with tracking number supplied).

I am potentially ending up having paid $55 per card, if the Danish authorities picks up the packet and claims import tax before delivering the packet. If it goes through customs without being picked up, my price will be the same as yours :-)

I have BIOS 1.15 and tried two cards with FCC ID:PD97260NGU none of them worked. They are "unauthorized". What did I buy wrong?

You bought the wrong Yoga :smileylol:

BIOS v1.15 is for the Yoga 2 13 that supports only 1 specific version of the Intel 7260AC: Lenovo P/N 20200617

Or you could opt for a Broadcom AC Wifi card.Yoga-2-13-20344-WiFi-Issues

The Yoga 2 Pro we are discussing here accepts many more versions of the 7260AC, although not all ...

I myself also owned a Yoga 2 13, and after a few months I accepted I had to buy the Pro.

You could sell your 97260NGU cards to a Y2Pro owner with a 7260N.

Hi guys, I have bought a replacement wifi card, and it doesn't work, I get the "unauthorized" message. Here's the photo of both cards

https://www.dropbox.com/s/uwv8rx8ic0r261w/20151219_102053.jpg?dl=0

on the right is the OEM one, and on the left is the one i bought... any idea why it's not working?

I also tried using a wifi card that I took out from my T540p https://www.dropbox.com/s/jx7a3wq89hm7bk1/20151220_132750.jpg?dl=0

it also gave me "unauthorized" message despite beeing a lenovo product... (btw. It's only dualband N but 5ghz is what I want, AC is not a must for me...)

Just an update, i returned the non working module and ordered this one from medion germany:

https://www.medion.com/lenovoserviceshop/search?msn=35020612

It's not available but when you send a request they will have in in few days. It's not the cheapest one, but it works from the box.

Hello I would like to hear if the cards you bought are working? Because I also have a Yoga 2 Pro which I want to replace the wifi card.
