FYI, for anyone wondering, I've got the latest Lenovo BIOS installed and the third party AC card works fine with the latest Intel drivers. I've had issues lately with my network, but they've been due to my network extender, not the card.

Can you post the seller link that you used to puchase the 7260NGW that Lenovo's latest BIOS permits?

That one will not work.  You need to get this one: http://www.mfactors.com/7260ngw-intel-dual-band-wireless-ac-7260-802-11ac-dual-band-2x2-wi-fi-bluetooth-4-0/

Note the stick is different.  For some reason one version does not work (the one you got), and one does, since it is whitelisted.  I believe it works because it has an FCC ID, while the other does not.  If you buy the one from mfactors like I did, it will work.

Note the sticker -- it has an FCC ID.  You NEED to get this version. The other version out there with a different sticker will not work.

Thanks a lot. The one that rysean user got is probably a cheap imitation. Just one quick question: you don't have speed / connectivity issues when connected at 5 GHz WiFi AC right?

I also got this one, and it is NOT working

Ebay

And got the error message at bootup, had to remount the original wificard.

I guess i need to order the other one that you say works, with FCC ID.

Amazon

Stupid of Lenovo to start with as it should be standard with AC network in 2013.. I already have it in my phone (LG G2)....

I can confirm that the Amazon one works fine, that's what I have.

Yes, the one you linked to on eBay will not work. I got a simlar one off eBay and it did not work. The one I got from M-Factors works perfectly.  I agree that there should be Wireless AC in this laptop at this point (or at the very least dual band N).

By the way, having the AC card in the laptop seems to make a big difference when using Widi on my Netgear PTV3000.  Very minimal lag, even at 1080p resolution, and for the first time since I started using Widi back when it premiered, video plays completley smoothly (partly due to Gen 4 Widi with Haswell, but the faster WiFi card also made that possible).

Even connecting at 5Ghz with Intel's last generation processor produced lag on the PTV3000.  But now, with this combo of the AC card and new Haswell processor, it's actually a joy to use for the first time.
