Hopefully it stays that way when you're connected at 2.4 GHZ band.

Re: Yoga 2 Pro WiFi Replacement Cards????

You think that's cheap? My friend got a lenovo y510p. On the description, it clearly stated that it has M.2 SSD connector, so he bought a M.2 SSD to upgrade it. Turns out they didn't install the connector. After some research online, it seems most of people who bought y510p doesn't have a SSD connector in them because Lenovo assumes that most people won't bother to upgrade them, so they decided to secretly cut it out to lower cost while they still state they have it in their product manual/description. A connector cost maybe 5 cents in bulk, but they decided to cheap out. So lesson learned, too cheap can be expensive.

Anyway, after upgrading the wireless card myself, I only got disconnected once this week. So the new wireless card definitely helps.

for the ones of you that went out and bought the Intel 7260 wireless AC dual-band adapter to replace the factory one in the Yoga 2 Pro are all going to be satisfied. Mine was connecting at 866.7 Mbps last night to my Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router. I am now able to stream blu-ray quality video from my desktop wirelessly to the Yoga 2 Pro now much more smoothly. And still no disconnects. Too bad the old card is basically now a paperweight.

Have you all been able to get BlueTooth working with the 7260NGW cards?  Tried one and wireless performance is stellar, but no Bluetooth.  Installed the Intel Bluetooth drivers or 7260-AC.

Thanks,

Mike

When I first installed the Inter AC-7260 card I had the same problem I had when I first got my laptop with the stock card, device manager showed a yellow exclimation point next to Bluetooth device.

I uninstalled the driver and installed the newest drivers from intel. I was able to pair my bluetooth headset, and everything seem to work fine.

So yes I was able to get BT working with both the AC and N cards.

For those that got the AC card for their Y2P:

Newegg has the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 (R7000) router for $159.99 after $40 off with cupon code BTEPGWP39.

It's a very positivly reviewed AC router, very fast and ranked amung the best AC routers. I was originally looking for a Asus RT-AC68U, but at that price the Nighthawk is hard to pass up.

Check the reviews and if it's right for you, you may want to grab this deal.
