Watched a video review on the Yoga 2 Pro.  During the review it was mentioned that the Yoga 2 Pro Wi-Fi being a single band will cause interference and dropouts with any BT devices, since they're both on the 2.4 GHz band.  A dual band Wi-Fi card was recommended.

Yes, your router will have to be updated if it is a single band.  There are three types of 5 Ghz routers and a couple of dual Band Routers on the market: Simultaneous and Selectable Dual Band Routers with very different capabilities and performance, Wireless-A, N, and AC.  The AC router is the latest and most advanced.

You may also want to use a dual band USB Wi-fi adapter for now until your warranty expires.

Thanks OldSpaghetti for the Video Link on the dual band network card. I just ordered it.

To answer your question, I have tried restarting the bluetooth services (Bluetooth Device Monitor) and that does get the mouse working again. But an easier way for me that seems to work most of the time is just to reach up and touch the screen or the windows button at the bottom of the LCD frame.

BTW I did try the V470 on my other ASUS Q501L and it exibits exactly the same behavior.

My onyly issue with the WIFI card fix is that you can bet there are no hotels with AC band WAPS :smileyhappy:

Well, I'm not going to buy a new wifi card and take apart my laptop to install it and then buy a new router to work with it, just to get my mouse working.

I've switched over to a usb dongle mouse until someone figures out how to make the bluetooth drivers stop crashing.
