I've had this laptop for about 2 years now, great laptop, i'm running windows 10 now. I recently accidentally hit the laptop while it was closed though, and i think that might have screwed up the open/close detection. When I close the laptop, sometimes it does not go to sleep and heats up my backpack until it dies and i can't use it when i want to. I have to press the side power button to make sure it goes to sleep. When I open up the laptop after it was in sleep mode, I have to press a button for it to turn it back on... I'm wondering if there is a fix i can do, to the software or hardware of the laptop.

Hi there, Tralion -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
Probably because your laptop isn't even going to sleep. Check the power light to see if it's solid or blinking. If it stays solid your laptop isn't sleeping. The sleep function on Yoga’s basically don't work at all.
Update us how it goes.
