Yoga 2 Pro keys weird behavior

My Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro keyboard was working fine suddenly it starts giving problems like when pressing n or m it registers nm, when pressing b or v it registers"vb". Interestingly when i press x or c it won't register another x or c unless I press any other key on keyboard. Most annoying are spacebar & enter keys which registers both a space & enter.

Can somebody help?

Re: Yoga 2 Pro keys weird behavior

Hi waqas_a  ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Ideally it would be best to isolate it with an external USB keyboard and check if same thing would happen .

How about on the onscreen keyboard under ease of access.

From how you describe it , seems tending to be more of a mechanical contact issue .

Noting the proximity of n-m , v-b , spacebar - enter .

You can air can clean it for particles causing this . Any incident of liquid spill?

You can check on the hardware manual from the support site for guide if you have the shill and tools to dissassemble the keyboard for cleaning else if you have an active warranty do call in tech support for assistance / local service center.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Re: Yoga 2 Pro keys weird behavior

Thank you  for replying spidey101,

I'm sorry I didn't mention it before, external USB keyboard is working fine. (I'm writing from the same) on-screen keyboard is also working perfectly.

Yes,you are right about the proximity of the keys. More specifically z,x,c,v,b,n,m, . , / , R-Shift , enter are acting weird.

No incident of any liquid spilling.

Re: Yoga 2 Pro keys weird behavior

Hi waqas_a ,

Thanks for confirming , so it most likely is mechanical just beneath the punchable keys that can be the issue ,

If cleaning would not work , try considering calling tech support for immediate service .

Regards
