I would prefer to contact support directly but I have been unable to find a phone number or email contact.
I'm not sure whether this problem was caused by the recent Windows 10 update, but today I noticed that if I unplug my laptop from the power cable, it immediately shuts down without warning. It says that the battery is 100% fully charged, but the power light is blinking a red/orange colour, which seems to mean that the battery is below 5% and is not charging. Other than that, the laptop works fine when plugged in. So far I have tried to restart the computer, shut down and boot up, and hold the power keys while shut down and unplugged, which has not worked.
I'm not acquainted with the forum so I'm unsure if this problem has been solved/encountered before. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
It may be that the software tools was able to detect the battery as functional but I am thinking of the physical integrity of the battery to charge specially if the machine would not pass operational charging as described her in the hardware manual (page21).
Since it would stay blinking orange even if you had it plugged in for several hours, you can try reaching technical support at 877-453-6686 24 hours/day 7 days/week to confirm if you would need battery replacement.
I hope this helps answer your query.
