Yoga 2 Pro - quick resolution change

2013-12-10, 14:24 PM

Good tool that I have been using for a quick resolution change. Very handy for those desktop programs that refuse to look good when the Y2P is in full resolution. It is HRC.exe

Come the 21st, I will make hacks and tweaks (actual programs) for the Lenovo yoga and set up a new, non-censored forum for Lenovo Yoga users.

It will be censored to keep things cleaned, but people will be free to speak their mind.

Anyhow, back on topic, I was goanna make a program just like this, but thanks to you, I don't have to anymore :D.

Does it work well together with the DPI setting in Windows 8.1 ?

Kind regards,

Not sure what you mean by DPI settings. It is just a shortcut to changing to custom resolution settings and allows assigned hotkeys.

Are you referring to the 200% display setting "Change the Size of All Items" that most change on the Y2P?

This helped me too

Since this cannot also change the zoom settings it isn't of that much use. Saves half a step I suppose.

Has anyone tried this program for gaming?

I'm fine with the high resolution of my Y2P for all programs except when gaming.    For example, Heathstone just added windows touch support but it still gives me graphics issues (freezes) when playing it on the native resolution.   I need a program that can quickly change resolutions when I play a game and then change it back when I'm done.

I wonder if this does the trick.   Anyone have experience with it?

I use HRC.exe. Freeware. Gives me hotkeys to change resolution. I have
hotkeys associated with
3200x1800
1600x900
1280x720

Works good.
