Yoga 2 Pro scrolling issue

2015-01-05, 1:38 AM

I've had my Yoga 2 Pro for about 3 days now. It worked perfectly until I installed a BIOS update (at least that's what I'm attributing this issue to). After that, the way my touchpad scrolls is very glitchy. It will sometimes reverse direction on it's own either in a fluid motion or simply jumping to the point at which I began scrolling, sometimes even to the top of the page. If anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate it. I love this laptop and this is not exactly a turn-off point, but it is extremely vexing.

Try removing the touchpad driver and reinstalling it.

That didn't fix anything. I'm going to try decreasing the touch sensitivity to see if maybe it's just sensing me picking my fingers. We'll see...

Read on another site that there is a problem with the current synaptics touchpad driver (17.0.8.7), so I uninstalled it and installed the earlier version (17.0.8.4). I had also started experiencing problems where programs such as adobe reader and microsoft word would zoom in randomly when scrolling down or zoom out when scrolling up. Rolling back the driver has so far fixed the issue (rolled back the driver about 2 days ago)
