Do you mean the scaling? I've tried setting from 200% all the way to 300%. Or where else do you modify the dpi?

I have my laptop resolution set to default (3200 x 1800) and metro apps work perfectly fine for me including the engadget and wikipedia ones mentioned as having issues. All text etc is large and readable

Can someone please post some photos of the screen running photoshop in 3200x1800 resolution. And perhaps also when using the 200% feature discussed above. And also some other resolution. A picture (or three) says more than a thousand words.

Text in Photoshop is very very small, but not unreadable.  But text size isn't the only problem you face with these ultra-hi-res computers.  Colors (as we all know) can be a bit off as well.

Adobe seems in no hurry to fix this in the same way that Microsoft seems in no hurry to allows users to independently set zoom for extended monitors (sure there is a DPI scaling fix but it is spotty at best).  These are two things pretty much everyone wants that would be relatively simple solutions and yet both companies refuse.

Very odd.

It is my understanding that some applications do not display properly with the high-resolution of yoga Pro. These include Quicken and Photoshop elements.

For Quicken and PSE is it possible to lower the resolution to get them to display properly? While I hate to do this, will this work around work? How troublesome is it?

After reading through this thread I'm still not sure here how PSE works. One comment said changing resolution made no difference. Another said using the regular resolution the words are quite small but readable. In essence will PSEwork with the yoga too Pro?

No comments about Quicken. Obviously if Quicken is not readable it is useless. Will it work with a smaller chosen resolution?

Others have mentioned screenshots. That would be most helpful. I don't want to purchase the yoga if these two programs will not work.

Thanks

For me metro applications also look too small. It is of course subjective.

Hi, my first post here. I've looked through the various comments about Photoshop Elements and find myself a bit confused. I am planning to order this machine because of it's overall good reviews but the 'tiny fonts' worries me, as one of the jobs I need it for is photo re-touching (only on an amateur basis).

Could you clarify for me: is it possible to just run this program on a lower screen resolution (say 1600 x 900), and would that make the program fill the screen and appear as normal (although obviously lower resolution)?

I ask because there seems to be some concern that PE won't run at all.

I really like the look of this machine, but if PE rules it out, it's over to Sony Flip 14 or Asus Transformer Trio.

It's gone very quiet here - anyone out there got an answer for me?

I'm running mine at 1600x900 resolution pretty much all the time now and I'm very happy with it that way. I don't currently have PS or PS elements on it, so I can't say for sure, but the 1600x900 removes the need for extreme scaling and it still looks great.
