Sarbin, are you also running latest BIOS version?

No, Jonas, I'm on the original BIOS. I haven't updated any of my Y2P's drivers.

Re: Yoga 2 Pro wakes up when lid is closed

I think I may have found the cause of this problem for some of us.

I think just having the Unifying receiver plugged in causes this issue, regardless of whether the mouse is actually turned on or not if you aren't careful.  I use the receiver only for a mouse, but what woke the computer was the supposed keyboard on the unifying receiver (I don't actually have a keyboard though).  With the receiver plugged in, I checked Device Manager and sure enough the box allowing that non-existent keyboard that woke my computer to wake my computer was checked.

I unchecked that box and haven't had the issue since.

I also unchecked that box but my unifying receiver apparently still wakes up my Y2P when its in there and I move the mouse. Fortunately I've just learned to avoid this situation.

Sigh, my computer did it again.  And it's like it KNOWS to do it only when it's tight in my backpack.

Btw I haven't updated any of the drivers or BIOS or anything yet.  So, that isn't the cause (unless new drivers fix this).  It's a really annoying issue.

Re: Yoga 2 Pro wakes up when lid is closed

I just received a Yoga 2 Pro (recent convert from a Macbook Air for school purposes only). So far so good, other than the fact I spent over an hour last night downloading and installing new drivers for the system right out of the box.

Anyway, the biggest issue I have right now is that when the computer is sleeping, in a thin case (no buttons can get pressed), IT WAKES UP. Twice today I opened my bag and found it piping hot and on, the power light was on I confirmed it was sleeping before putting it in my bag, the power light was slowly flashing on and off.

I have a Logitech Unifying Receiver in the laptop, but the mouse its connected to doesn't even have batteries in it right now.

WHAT IS WRONG. This is a serios issue, both for the hardware and convenience.

Come on Lenovo...

You may have already but..

Did you try taking out the receiver and seeing if that stops the auto waking?  Just as step 1 in troubleshooting.

I have tried that and it helps (as in the issue happens less often) but doesn't solve it.  And the issue only seems to happen when the laptop is in its case and in my backpack.

I've had the same issues as other users where the laptop powers on unexpectedly from sleep, at inconvenient times. Usuually when it's in my backpack, in a laptop case. It comes out extremely hot and battery depleted.

I thought this was due to the movement and shaking or due to the Logitec Unifying receiver. I took out the receiver.

TODAY I was sitting in class laptop was flat on the desk, in the casre, and all of a sudden I heard the windows sound of it waking from sleep.

WHAT THE HELL. Why is my computer turning on randomly?

I updated all my drivers and have completely given up on using a mouse.  Let's see if it happens again.

Seriously though, this is BS.
