Yoga 2 pro not seeing one of my wifi ssids

2014-04-15, 7:15 AM

I have a DIR-826L wifi router which broadcasts two SSID's.

For some reason my new Yoga 2 pro only sees one of them.  All of my other devices can see (and connect) to both.  Is this a Windows 8 issue, or is this related to the Yoga?

Sorry, but the wireless card that comes on the Yoga 2 Pro, the Intel Wireless-N 7260, is not dual-band, so it won't see your 5GHz SSID.

The card is replaceable, if that is of interest to you. I'd look at these threads on the issue:

I noticed your router is dual band (2.5Ghz and 5Ghz), but the Yoga 2 Pro ships with a single band N card (2.4 Ghz), thus you won't see the SSID from the 5Ghz band.

It is functioning normaly, it seems.
