Thank you, Andy, for posting this update. I have one question left.

Are people like me who don't suffer from those high pitched frequencies adviced to better not install the new BIOS or can I do it without any future problems.

I usually like to keep my machine updated but at the same time I also don't want to unneccesserily ruin my PC with a BIOS that is not meant for my machine.

Thank you in advance!

Hi kanariya,

my personal opinion, others will differ, is that if your system is running smoothly, not presenting any problems and an update doesn't offer any new feature which you may wish to have or need to fix a particular issue, leave it alone; quite often an update may effect more than one function in a system.

I am a believer in the old addage; if it works, don't fix it.   Especially when it comes to BIOS updates

Edit; typo

Thank you!

That is what I already expected and therefore I shall leave it unless my laptop starts developing said issues.
But it's good to know there is a solution waiting for me if I ever should start having problems (which hopefully never will happen :D ).

Once again thank you for your efforts!

BIOS update, nothing has changed for me. Fan reacts to the opening page in a browser.
Andy, why does not work "Intel® Dynamic Platform and Thermal" in the power settings ??
How I can adjust the fan speed ?? Like in the program HP CoolSense.

Will there be a similar update for the Yoga 3 Pro - 1370 model? The fan on my machine is disturbingly loud.

If you are experiencing other symptoms than the high pitched noise please post in the appropriate relevant thread.  If there isn't already a thread please start one and don't forget to be specific about exactly what you are experiencing and when, including your system configuration details is also a good idea or add them to your forum signature.

Edit;  I have retitled the opening post and this post to identify it concerns specifically the high pitched noise issue.

Thanks Andy for the update bios. I just wanted to tell you what my experiences is after this update.

GREAT NEWS: The high pitch noise is no more!!!! SUCESS!

ALTHOUGH: i'm not sure if this came with the bios update but I seem to have been unable to play any sounds through my speakers. I've made sure that its not on mute, that the playback device is the speakers, and updated even my output audio drivers.

SPECS of my computes are Core i7, NVIDIA graphics, Win 8.1

Please let me know if I'm the only one.
