Yoga 3 14 Keyboard Replacement

My keyboard has taken quite a spill and some of the keys are very stick/stiff to press down on. I'd like to completely replace the keyboard. How do I do this? I know with most laptops you simply pop the little tabs around the perimeter of the keyboard but with this model the entire keyboard face is like one big piece. Must I disassemble the entire laptop from the bottom? Or is there a way to pop off just the top of the keyboard?

Re: Yoga 3 14 Keyboard Replacement

Hi killsmcgee ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You would need to work your way up from under to carefully detach the keyboard from the upper case cover.

The mainboard is actually clipped to a keyboard bezel.

Here is the hardware manual and service training video that you can use for reference.

Hope this helped answering your query.

Regards

Re: Yoga 3 14 Keyboard Replacement

I assume the keyboard can be replaced.
I have a Yoga 3 14 and some keys, G H Up Arrow and Alt have stopped working.

I looked at the hardware manual and that goes as far as removing the screen and systemboard but doesn't go into any detail on how to remove the keyboard.

Has anyone done this and does someone have instructions?

Thank you for your help.
