Re: Yoga 3 14 inch Touch Screen Issues

You've got to be kidding me...someone compiled the app in 16bit mode but labled the file x64....16bit mode...hello windows 95..

I doubt there's any fix for this until they re-compile and post a new file.  Anyone know how to contact lenovo to do that?

I thought I'd chime in on this thread. I bought the Yoga 3 14 i5 a few days ago, and the ghost touch  problem is chronic after waking from sleep. A restart seems to mitigate the issue.

Running windows 8.1 x64, thinking of switching to Ubuntu 14.10.

Here's what I get when running the "firmware update"

They updated the software for the fix and I was able to run it successfully. I haven't experienced ghost touches since but it has only been 5 minutes. Hopefully this is all we need :)

Hi,

I have the ghost touch problem.

Tried to run the program today but didn't work. I then phoned Lenovo support and they updated the file.

The program now runs but unfortunately I had the message:

"EDID information is not match

Don't run anything!

Please press any key to exit"

This seems to mean that my display is not a LG one...

Anyone knows how i can check the brand of my screen?

Thanks in advance,

As noted earlier, a firmware fix for the auto-touch symptoms seen on Yoga 3 14 touchscreen panels has been released.

It can be downloaded here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht103512

For more information on how to implement this solution, please read this document: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/SF15-I0024

I've noted some of the feedback posted yesterday, and I'd appreciate it if more people could share their results.

Thank you,

Thanks Amy, I've been running with the new firmware for a few hours now, and so far so good.

Have run several tests, resume from standby, tablet mode, etc., even repeating the tests after a couple of reboots, and no ghost touches yet.

Here's hoping this is a permanent fix, thanks again :)

Installed the firmware update successfully on my Yoga 3. No ghost touches yet. We'll see how it goes!

Thanks

i just got my laptop a week ago and had the issue. I installed the firmware and it seems to be working so far. Do we know what cause the issue in the first place?  I wanted to ask since I just brought my laptop very recently.

I get the issue still

Machine details are

20DMCTO1WW

It seems that the fix is for a different version screen or something because I get the following error

EDID information is not match.
Don't run anything!
Please press any key to exit.

This is what others got

Screen issue still persists
