Every time I plug in my laptop, the charging icon appears, but the battery still goes down. There were times that I finally got it to work by either restarting my laptop or trying multiple outlets, but that no longer works either. My AC adapter is fine, and based on Lenovo Vantage, my battery is still in good condition. Has anyone experienced the same problem and have a solution?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Applications like vantage may describe functional status among battery that starting to fail at times. To check physically without softwares, battery status led indicator should tell its actual state since it works electrically.
If currently battery led is off then consider operational charging test as shown here in the harwdare manual (page 19-20).
It is said to try removing the battery and allow it to cool off in room temperature if you have the tools and skills. Otherwise, if the battery indicator now shows blinking amber then connect the charger for 2-3 hours without turning on the machine.
The status indicator should change from amber to white. If it stays with the same amber or off status then maybe you can consider battery replacement or have a service center do voltmeter test on the battery itself to be sure.
I hope this helps answer your query.
