Yoga 3 PRO imcfrundll.exe - Application Error

I get 3 error message on every start-up of my laptop. I use Lenovo Yoga 3 pro with 8.1, 64 bit:

imcfrundll.exe - Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

 

After I have clicked ok 3 times, the message disappear.
What do I do to get rid of the error message?

I tried the workaround of uninstalling and reinstalling OneKey Optimizer and that did not work.  Not a good showing by Lenovo on this problem.

Hello.

 

Ond Key is not causing the problem!  See message #192!  Be patient 5 more days & the fix shall arrive.  The software developers are well aware of this bug, both at Lenovo & Microsoft.

 

The best workaround is after clearing the error message just allow the machine to sleep, if you reboot you will get the error message again, so let it sleep.

 

If after Microsoft patch Tuesday this upcoming March 10th, the problem persists, then the Lenovo team should advise, this community.

A permanent solution is under test and will be released by the end of March, possibly sooner.

 

I appreciate your ongoing patience as the fix is qualified.

Thanks a lot, your solution worked. After renaming the file and starting service I have restarted the computer. Streaming performance via Chromecast improved substantially. In my case the solution is permanent, don't need to repeat after reboot.

I just got the Microsoft Tuesday update and installed it and rebooted. Unfortunately, I still get the 3 warning screens in spite of what we were told. We were lead to believe that the updated would fix the problem we all are having. I've had this problem for a month now. I called support, they wanted to charge me so I got upset. They finally put me in touch with someone who played with my computer for 30 minutes and said it was a Lenovo issue. She said she would research it and get back to me. She never did. I called the number she gave me and they said I had to pay to talk to someone. I hate thier support - I just bought this machine 6 weeks ago. One tech told me to use the tool to restore the system back to when I got it and reinstall all my apps. I told him he was nuts. Lenovo needs to fix this - we all bought their high end machine and now it has a techical issue that they won't address. Lenovo, reply?

I should add that I just ran the routine that Amy recommended - moving the dep package back to a prior version - and it fixed the error messages. As I understand it, that's still a temp solution and the MS update was supposed to fix the problem. Am I correct?

Relax, the repair could have come from one of two sources, Microsoft or Lenovo.  The patch did not or repair, did not come from M$.  So the patch fix will comne from Lenovo.  Lenovo has stated (Amy) that, the patch is being tested & will be given out by the end of the month, or sooner.

Since the first time I got this error, about a month and a half ago (and I get the error 3 times), my Lenovo Settings Dependency package has since updated to version 2.3.3.33.  I am still getting the errors when I log in.  Will this temporary fix still work for me?
