Yoga 3 pro - touchscreen not working

I bought a Yoga 3 Pro (1370) just before Xmas.  Worked fine until a month or so ago when the touchscreen suddenly stopped working and is unresponsive.  On trying to research this, I came across a reference to device manager.  I have checked my device manager and have a fault sign against "I2C HID Device" - there are two such entries, but only one has the yellow triangle.  I have tried disabling, uninstalling, refreshing the driver for the faulty entry, but nothing seems to work.  Thanks in advcance to anyone with any advice?

I don't know if this is relevant, but since some kind of update a few weeks ago, the laptop also takes about a minute to boot up to the log in screen.

What's the exact error code on the I2C driver?

Hi,
In Device Manager, I2C HID Device Properties, the comment in the status box is: “This device cannot start. (Code 10). A request for HID descriptor failed”.

Something's acting up with the hardware. It sounds like the I2C controller for the display is not getting the expected return codes. Most likely it is hardware, which means it would be best to go through warranty.
