Hi,
I'm an IT Tech and I've been working on a Yoga 300-11IBY for about a week now.
I originally replaced a broken screen on the laptop and after reconnecting everything, was met with a black screen. Now this is where things get weird...
I can plug the laptop into to an external screen via HDMI and get display out. The new screen in the laptop itself also responds to touch (i.e. I can control the mouse on the external screen by swiping the laptop screen).
Windows doesn't detect the screen at all (as far the laptop is concerned, only the external screen is plugged in) from within display settings or the Intel graphics control panel, yet the digitizer clearly works. I am very confused by this and am at a bit of a loss as to how to proceed.
I've tried resetting to factory defaults, reseating everything and all combinations of unplugging the other sockets on the LCD cable to no avail. Also, when I unplug the laptop from the AC, the screen briefly flashes white (for a fraction of a second), yet at all other times remains black.
This is driving me crazy, so any advice would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks very much
