Yoga 300-11IBY

2021-03-03, 11:17 AM

Hi,

I have a Yoga 300-11IBY (not 11IBR). I would like to install Windows 10 32 bit or 64 bit. I boot from pendrive. I saw the system and the recovery partition and I deleted them. After the installer show that "You can't install to this partition". I tried many pendrive in legacy and uefi mode, nothing.

Please help me!

Welcome to the Community Forums @SagiAdam!

Great to have you here!

Just to ask:

  • Can you provide us a screenshot of your preferred Boot mode in BIOS?
  • And is there also an option in BIOS for UEFI mode?
  • Did you created the installer pen drive for GPT?

It seems that the partition doesn't match with the installer itself that is why you can't proceed with the installation.

You may check on this link to see some steps on how this can be sorted out.

Thanks,

Adriel_lenovo

Hi Adriel! In the bios I can set to uefi or legacy in boot options. I made the installer with rufus with these options: 1. gpt/uefi/fat 2. gpt/uefi/ntfs 3. mbr/uefi/fat 4. mbr/uefi/ntfs Last time I used diskpart and I converted it gpt.

Does it possible that update the bios without an installed system?

Second thought: Could I try install a windows on a 2,5" SSD? I will buy a sata cabel.

Thanks for the update @SagiAdam!

Can you also provide us your Yoga 300's MTM (machine type-model) number for us to check its specifications?

We'll be waiting for your response.

Thanks,

Thanks for providing your device's details @SagiAdam!

It could be that the incorrect setting may have been selected in installing/using Rufus.

You may follow steps found on this link then see if that will sort out the issue.

Unfortunately nothing help me.

I tried all of the options to make an installer pendrive.

At the end I ordered a sata-hdd adapter and I put ssd in the machine. I installed a new windows and works perfectly.

The bios version is C0CN25WW V3.7

Celeron N2840, 2GB
