Yoga 300 Issues With External Display

2018-10-14, 21:26 PM

Hi all

I have a Yoga 300 laptop running Windows 10.

I notice that I can connect to some projectors via HDMI only to broadcast power points presentations in Presentation / Preview mode.

I cannot see to broadcast my screen (a web page for example).  I have just acquired a new projector and cannot display anything at all to it.

Any thoughts to correct this?  I am sure I am making a simple mistake someplace.

Chris

Hi Makaveli68,

Welcome to the community forums.

You may try these steps and see if the RAM stick will be detected:

1. Click on Start.
2. Type MSCONFIG in Search and click OK.
3. This will open the System Configuration Utility. Click on the BOOT tab.
4. Click on the Advanced Options... button
5. If the /MAXMEM= box is checked, please uncheck it.
6. If it isn’t already checked, check it now and enter your total amount of memory in MB (e.g. 8192 for 8GB) and click OK.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi blueghoti,

Welcome to the community forums.

We'd like to know, how are you trying to project the display? Could you try to update the display drivers? You may download the drivers using this link:
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ch/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-300-11ibr/downloads Then, could you try to project in both ways (duplicate and extend) to see if you're going to have the same issue.

Keep us posted.
