Yoga 500-14IBD Laptop Battery Calibration

Hello,

I started battery calibration on a customers Yoga 500 nearly 48 hours ago, after getting numerous reminder messages. It appears to be still running, because looking at TaskManager it is taking about 2-3 % of the CPU.

Anyone have any idea how much longer it will take ?

If I cancel it, will all work be lost ?

Thanks for your help

Denis

Re: Yoga 500-14IBD Laptop Battery Calibration

I hesitate to calibrate the battery of my Yoga 500-15IBD because I have read some adverse comments on Lenovo Battery Calibration.

Re: Yoga 500-14IBD Laptop Battery Calibration

I do it once a month as recommend for the 15IBD. So it has been 3 to 4 times since purchasing. It takes a working day for each.

I notice bios version BDCN3xWW keep conservative mode at 55% charge while BDCN6xWW raises this up to 60%

So I gona roll the Bios back to version 31

Re: Yoga 500-14IBD Laptop Battery Calibration

Where can I find the conservative  mode in Yoga 500-15IBD?

Will the conservative mode (say set at 60 %) increase the number of charging cycles?, since less energy will be stored in battery per charge.
