Yoga 500 Conservation Mode gone missing

2016-01-26, 14:13 PM

My conservation mode is gone :(

It was there yesterday but it is gone now.

I tried to click "Click here to access Power Options in Control Panel" but nothing happened.

I even tried to reinstall Energy Management drive but it is still the same.

This is my Lenovo Setting Screenshot

Hi Jemerlyn ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Since it just happenned yesterday , doing system restore can be a quick fix.

You may jump back to a working restore point to restore settings and files that Conservation initially have .

This restore can be undone too. Clicke here for the guide .

Update us how it goes.

Regards

The following solution worked out with Lenovo Support for Yoga 900 on Windows 10 x64

Uninstall: (not all uninstalls available via control panel)

Lenovo Settings

Lenovo System Interface

Lenovo Companion

Note:  If the program is not availalbe to uninstall through control panel go to windows settings (type settings into search on task bar if uncertain how to get there), then choose system, then apps & features.  Now you should be able to find them and uninstall and reboot as needed.

Reinstall Lenovo Settings (version was 3.111.0 at time of this post) by going to the windows app store (requires a microsoft login).  Be aware that it may try to get you to agree to login to your pc with your microsoft login credentials.  There is an option to just use the microsoft credential for the app which will not change your login.

Run Lenovo Settings.  It will ask you to download Lenovo System Interface.  Do so and install it and reboot if necessary.

Open Lenovo settings and go to the battery section  An option for always on USB, conservation mode, and battery stretch should now be underneath the picture of the battery (likely will have to scroll)

Reinstall lenovo companion from the microsoft app store (if you want it).

Hope this helps!

I had this same issue yesterday, but solved it having to do slightly less.

1. Uninstall the Lenovo Settings App from the Start Menu by right clicking on it and selecting uninstall.
2. Reboot.
3. Reinstall the Settings app from the Windows Store.

This fixed it for me without having to change the Companion App or reinstall the System Interface Foundation driver.
