My Yoga 500 won't charge. While plugged in, the orange battery light flickers on and off, but the battery remains at 0% and says "plugged in, not charging".
This started when the battery fully discharged after I unplugged the laptop for 10 minutes (from 100% battery power).
Can anyone help? I can't even unplug the laptop for a second now or it shuts off completely.
Incidentally, the battery was replaced by Lenovo after I sent it in about 3 months ago because it was faulty. But now the laptop is out of warrenty. This is getting to be beyond a joke!

You can also start by flushing out all static, remove battery and AC adaptor and hold down power button for about 15 seconds.
Update us how it goes.

Hi, this solution worked once to fix the problem, but after a day it reoccurred and now this no longer works.
The laptop remains at 0%, says 'plugged in, charging' but does not charge.
Any other ideas?

I just took the laptop in to a repair centre, who told me the battery is defective and removed it for me.
So now I'm on the road for 2 months, trying to work with a laptop that needs to be plugged in at all times.
And all this with a battery that has literally just been replaced three months ago, as the previous battery was also defective.
