Recently I'm thinking about how to use two operating systems on my Yoga without the need of dualboot.
After some research I found out that many mainboards aren't able to boot from USB 3.0 or upwards. Since USB2 is way too slow for a decent performance, I'd like to refrain from that as an option.
Been checking the UEFI and have only seen the option boot from USB, which does not specify if it's able to boot from USB3.0 (that has often to be differentiated). Now, I don't own a external ssd with USB 3, so I cannot test that myself.
So, does the Yoga 510-14IKB support booting from USB 3.0 devices?
P.S.: Does anyone know the technical aspect to why booting from USB 3.0 is not available everywhere? Been trying to figure it out and so far I don't see a reason why, since USB 3.0 has two lanes, one of which is equal to a USB 2.0
