Yoga 510 WiFi on Battery

I've been using this Yoga 510-14ISK for almost two years now, and I recently realised that the WiFi speed changes drastically between battery power and plugged in charger. Sitting in the same spot, I can get the full speed of my home WiFi if I plug in the charger, but I can get only 1-2 mbps if I use battery power.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

Re: Yoga 510 WiFi on Battery

Hi onurgezmis,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You can try to disable power saving of the wireless card in device manager.

Press Windows key + X and choose device manager.

Click the small triangle in front of network adapters and choose the WLAN card. Right click on it to choose properties. Click on the Power management tab and uncheck the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Other options similar to this (roaming aggresiveness/ transmit power) that you can change and compare the wifi performance can help.

Update us how it goes.

Regards
