Hello, I'd like to know if the Yoga 520 offers an active digitizer making the use of an active pen possible. Not a passive/capacitive one, but an ACTIVE one. I've recently bought a notebook which said it had support for active pens and ended up with a touchscreen instead which offers capacitive pen support only. I aim to use Staffpad with it so if I could be informed of it's compatibility with the app that'd be better.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Yoga 520 offers active digitizer so that active pen technology is best appreciated.
As noted here :
Featuring pin-point accuracy and palm-rejection technology, the Lenovo Active Pen emulates a natural pen-on-paper writing experience. Paired with new Windows Ink features—found directly on your taskbar—you’ll love the new ways you can turn thoughts into action. Write notes that sync up with Cortana to flow across your other devices; or get creative with a hand-drawn birthday card.

you should have a look into this thread too.
Perhaps you should have a look at the new Active Pen II, also.
It´s more accurate than the Active Pen I.
