I recently picked up a Yoga 700-11ISK (4gb/128gb) which has been a great little secondary laptop next to my Yoga 730-13 (i7/16gb/512gb/4K). I tried using the headphone jack on the 700-11 yesterday and found the sound highly distorted and moving the plug results in the sound being lost completely.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with no luck.
I am thinking about attempting to clean the jack. The only other option after that is to replace the I/O board. Am I missing anything??
Is EMPR the official part supplier in Australia?

Possible that this is a speaker issue. Have you tried connecting other external speaker or headphones? If yes, are you having the same issue? Have you checked the enhancement settings of the audio? If still does the same then it would be best contacting our local support here: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ph/en/supportphonelist?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6 for repair options.

This is an issue that appears to be isolated to the audio jack, the speakers are tinny but fine, I have tried multiple sets of headphones. I have played with the audio settings and drivers (including the Dolby Audio) and have not gotten anywhere.
The I/o board is listed as a FRU and from the service manual it is two screws and a ribbon cable. This is something I can easily change myself, the laptop is an authorised refurbished but the warranty is with Gray's Online, and I would prefer to have the 95% working laptop (with my data) than to send it away and not have the use of it.
