My laptop has been doing this for a while now, the screen will turn off after only a minute or two of idleness. It's really annoying if I'm working on homework and I'm writing something down when the computer just goes to sleep on me. I have checked all settings, even advanced, and it's all set to at least 30-35 minutes before the computer should go to sleep. Now that I think about it, it seems to happen most often when the laptop is plugged in to charge. Sometimes restarting the computer makes it stop doing it for a while, but often it won't help. I took screen shots to show all the settings that may affect this, and that they're all as they should be. I've even tried contacting the Lenovo tech people online, and I've had someone remotely look at my computer, and they weren't able to figure out what was wrong. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? I'd like to avoid sending it in for work if possible.

Hi there, Mikaylaem -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
After the Lenovo energy management software is installed, please click the icon of battery on the lower-right corner of the desktop. In order to modify the energy settings, please open the Lenovo energy management software, and then click on the "High Performance" mode or other options. Take the "High Performance" mode.

Ok, I think I may have solved it, for now at least. I looked under some of the advanced power options that I hadn't tried before and changed all to "Maximum Performance" and turned off some power saving option. Now hopefully it'll be a permanent fix, I've had inconsistent results before.
