Yoga 700 "wobbles" as one corner is higher than the other

Hello,

I have a new laptop Yoga 700 14ISK and I realised that it doesnt stay properly on the table. The right corner is a bit higher than the other and the notebook "wobbles" moves when using keyboard or the touchpad. The movement is small but after a while it gets annoying and it disturbs my writing. Somebody experience the same problem?

Re: Yoga 700 "wobbles" as one corner is higher than the other

Hi hannah37 ,

Greetings.

It appears than your having an issue with alignment that most likely due to hinges that may be loose considering that there are no missing feet at the bottom.

Try to challenge the screen by tapping from front on both left and right side, as same from the back.

Would it wobble more on one side?

If so best that you check your covered warranty and give a call to tech support so that it would be provided with immediate service as needed .

Update us how things go for you.

Re: Yoga 700 "wobbles" as one corner is higher than the other

The foot is not missing, rubber is there. On the first look the laptop looks ok as long as you dont put it on the table and open. On the side of the unregularity the screen also doesnt 100% fit with the laptop body when closed. It looks like the construction as the whole is weirdly done.

Sorry for bad quality of the picture, but it can be seen that nothing is touching the table. The difference is 2-3 mm.

Re: Yoga 700 "wobbles" as one corner is higher than the other

Hi hannah37 ,

Greetings.

So it does appear that the cause of mis alignment is not from any loose hinges or screws but due to that produce dent that may have been caused by a hard tip edging that corner .

Accidental warranty coverage would be useful to cover the repair.

Call in tech support for recommendation .

Regards

Re: Yoga 700 "wobbles" as one corner is higher than the other

Hi hannah37 ,

Greetings.

Based on the picture, there was a dent that hit that side.

This most likely is causing the wobble as the normal alignment was changed due to the hit.

If you receive it that way from the out of the box, best to inform technical support so that they would be able to recommend an action plan for you so they would not treat it as something that was caused by you as a result of the accidental hit.

Update us how it goes.

Regards
