Hi guys, I just bought a 16GB ram stick but it's not fitting inside the ram slot.
Any idea why ?
It should be ddr4 sodimm right ?
I also read this thread https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-710-14-quot-RAM-upgrade/td-p/3414012 and it seems the user had no problem upgrading
Here are the pictures

Welcome to the Community Forums.
As per product manual (page26) OEM prescribed:
• DDR4 (max 8 GB) (Lenovo YOGA 710-14ISK/Lenovo YOGA 710-14IKB)
• DDR4 (max 16 GB) (Lenovo YOGA 710-15ISK/Lenovo YOGA 710-15IKB)
Product specification: 8GB max, DDR4 2133, one 260-pin SODIMM socket
OEM recommended RAM on the same hardware manual page 69 item 9.
Would you mind sharing the sticker image of the new DDR4 RAM?
Tried getting a comparative image for a DDR4 (Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL14 260-Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory HX424S14IB/16) that fits the same slot fine.
Update us when convenient as you may need to call the seller since it is either wrong DDR or custom OEM RAM only for specified design models and not the standard DDR4 base.
