I have an issue with my laptop as it is not turning on. When plugging in the charger cable, the small light indicates that it is plugged in. When I tried opening it by pressing on the switch on button, the light lit up but did not open. The laptop's battery is not external hence i cannot remove/ and plug it again without opening the laptop personally and that would void the warranty. I want to avoid sending it repair since they take a very long time to fix and return the laptop and I need it for daily use. Help please !

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Try pressing the caps lock and see if it manage to show any led turning on and off.
Check if there is any display when connected to an external monitor if available.
Shutdown the machine again pressing the power button down until power led goes off.
Use the novo button (item 5 page 10) to power on the computer instead of the regular power key.
This should show a menu for the BIOS instead of just a blank black screen.
If so, then you may have to call in technical support and use your covered warranty.
If the BIOS would not show up, then there could be a possible hardware issue that would need to be attended and using your warranty repair coverage would save you for both labor and parts costing.
Hope this helps answer your query.
