My touchpad stopped working. The mouse properties shows no hardware (Mouse Properties -> Hardware tab has no devices listed). When I go to Device Manager, there is no “Mice and other pointing devices”. In settings, there is no Touchpad, only Mouse. Changing the Scheme in Mouse Pptions made it appear once when I first started having the issue, but then it stopped working again. It works with a USB mouse but it doesn’t seem to recognize the touchpad anymore. I downloaded the driver but that didn’t fix it. Selecting the Enable/Disable function key on the keyboard doesn’t fix it either.
I’m not sure if it’s related, but I had my motherboard replaced a few months ago, although the mouse was working ok for about a month or two. I went to the Best Buy where I bought it because it was still under warranty at the time and they shipped it to Lenovo for repair. Now the warranty is up.
Any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
It does sounds like it could be a hardware fault. Especially because the motherboard was replaced, it is possible that a connection was not placed back in correctly, and could`ve potentially gotten loose.
Unfortunately you would have to open up the unit in order to confirm if that is indeed the problem.
You could try to get in touch with your local Lenovo support line for a possible repair.
Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
