I was about to post to seek for help but I've fixed it myself, so I'm going to post just to give an heads up, the latest system Intel driver update (18.104.22.1689, from Windows Update) broke my audio, it couldn't find my audio card anymore. I've tried to download and install the audio drivers (and the chipset drivers) from the Lenovo product support page, it didn't fix anything, finally I could solve the problem with the latest "generic" realtek drivers, here is the link in case somebody has the same problem, make sure to download the 64 bit version

I had the same problem and the realtek site seems not to be available. I found the realtek drivers for my Lenovo (Flex 4 1580 80VE) on the software download site of Lenovo support. Try going to their support site and type in your model SN. Should get you to the proper place and swarch for the realtek software.

I could fix it with this driver:
Its problably not the best one and I noticed the sound sounds worse.
Hope there will be a fix soon.

Had the same problem. It appears that the Intel update does not recognize the realtek audio card, which prohibits you from downloading and installing the original driver. Here is the link for the driver, which fixed my problem.

Here is the link to the fix. In the component drop down window, select audio, which will give you the driver you need to install.

Uhh ... Did anyone else notice that when you reinstall the drivers from Lenvo's site, the speakers no longer mute when you plug in the headphone jack?
This is getting kind of frustrating.
EDIT: I'd first installed the audio drivers from Lenovo's site for the 710 ... using the drivers linked in this thread instead fixed the above issue. Thanks, mitch!

I think it's exactly the same driver I've downloaded from the support page of my model, the 14ikb 80v4, but for some reason it didn't work for me, even after a couple of reboots and after trying to uninstall the old driver for the audio device and reinstalling. The driver from the realtek website (version 22.214.171.12436) works and it's better than the old one, imo at low volume it was too loud with headphones, often I had to keep the volume at 1%, and I had another problem, sometimes I got no sound after plugging in the headphones and I had to plug them in again, now this bug seems gone, but it's too early to tell
