Yoga 710-15ISK Laptop (80U0) - Ghost Touch Issue

2017-04-27, 15:34 PM

I've been having random ghost/phantom touch issues with the touchscreen on my laptop. Tried the known LG firmware fix, but that was a no go. Has anyone else experienced this issue with this particular model or know if there is another fix?

I have the same problem with you ,  I have tried anyway to deal but doesn't work. now the only thing I can do is close the touch screen driver in control pannel.  if you find someway to fix it ,pls tell me , thank you.

Hello APC_LLC

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

Try to download the Video and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.

Make sure to reboot after an update.

Also, try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.

(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

thx for your help, by your suggestion, you mean that this issue is made by  static?

and It should be nothing more than a firmware update or driver update from all?

do you think so?

I have tried to follow your advice by a static discharge when this issue happens again, when restart it looks like in right position, now hope this issue can't happens again.

This didn't help my issue. I still experience phantom touches.
