Hello everyone. I have a user whose Yoga 710-15ikb won't power on. The following forum threads suggest disconnecting the battery, along with a 30 second hold of the power button, to completely de-initialize the machine. Unfortunately, this hasn't worked in my case. The machine attempts to post, but once it reaches the Lenovo splash screen, it immediately powers off.
As of right now, the backlight on the keyboard and the power button are flashing simultaneously at a steady cadence. In the absence of, say, a beep code, is this telling me something in particular?
Can anybody suggest additional troubleshooting steps?

You can do a popwer cycle first and then press the Novo Menu and see if you can access the Recovery tools.
Here you can access the BIOS and the Recovery Menu which you can do a factory reset. If you can access the recovery then there's a chance you can still reset the computer, but before you do that have the HDD backed up by a local tech.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes,

Hi Jeremy. Welcome back!
Unfortunately, pressing the Novo button had no effect on the user's machine. The backlight on the keyboard and the power button still flash, but it won't even POST. The two onboard cooling fans never spin up, either.
Perhaps the motherboard is bad? If so, do you happen to know what the FRU nymber is? There appear to be motherboards for this model of Yoga available on eBay for around $100.

No worries, Jeremy. Thanks for the links.
Since the fans don't spin up, would you agree it's a motherboard issue, or could it be something else?
Also, do you happen to know what the codes for the various motherboards at the following link mean? I'm not sure how to tell one from the other.
