Yoga 710 bluetooth issues

Hello all,

 

My yoga 710's bluetooth can detect other bt devices but fails to pair/connect.

 

First appeared with the microsoft mouse 3600.

Trying to test it cgecked also on samsung and xiomi phones - it tries to pair and then announces "try connecting your device again".

 

Looked in the forum so tried:

Rolling back to previous driver.

Removing the device.

Reinstalling driver from internet.

Reinstalling driver frim system partition.

All with the same result.

 

Any ideas?

Hello Stoli

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.


Try to download the Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.

 

Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.


See if this is able to help at all.

Thanks for your answer.

 

No luck.

Also tried using the AutoUpdate feature there, and alot of drivers were installed (including the bluetooth driver), but with no luck.

Also tried installing the Atheros bluetooth driver that was not installed, no luck there either (though I cannot see it in the device manager).

 

Any other ideas? any good bt diagnostics that can tell if it is hardware failure?

Not exactly sure about bluetooth I`m afraid, I don`t know much about it.

 

I think you could try to run an LSC scan, see if this is able to find anything by any chance.

1. Please click on the following link

2. Under the section ‘Download’ select the relevant Hyperlink dependant on whether your Lenovo is running Windows 7/8/8.1 32 bit or 64 bit.
3. When prompted, select save and browse to a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded files.
4. Navigate to the folder where you saved the installation file, lscsetup_x86_26001.exe.
5. Double-click the installation file icon to start the installation.
6. Follow the onscreen instructions via the installation wizard that will install Lenovo Solution Centre on your system.
7. Once installed you will have a ‘Lenovo Solution Centre’ icon on your desktop please click to open this.
8. Once solution center is opened please select ‘Checkup’ then ‘Hardware Scan’ and ‘Full Scan’
9. This will take up to 20 minutes, see if this can find any errors.
