By the sounds of things, there may be some sort of connection problem perhaps, try to contact the retailer if you are within 28 days of purchase, or whatever their policy may be, and they should be able to refund/replace the unit for you no problem.
It may also be wort following this up with your local lenovo support. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
