Yoga 710 right click on touchpad not working

2018-01-23, 22:31 PM

I would really like the right click to work like it used to but would even settle for the two finger option that I have read about. I have tried drivers, settings, Lenovo support and have had zero luck with getting this to work. I see lots of posts claiming there is a fix yet nothing works for me. Can anyone please help me walk through fixing this?

I have tried the regedit and it did not work. What I dont understand is that it worked perfectly when I bought it and after a windows update it stopped. I just want to be able to right click like you can on any other touchpad.

Right click was not working for me on my Lenovo Yoga 3 11 after I upgraded to WIndows 10.

The trackpad driver on the support page for this laptop was not working for the right button.

This one

Worked a treat for my Lenovo Yoga 3 11 laptop trackpad. Right click works perfectly.

Open Registry Editor

Click Windows + R

Type regedit

Click OK

Click Yes

Find Synaptics software on the left menu

Computer > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Synaptics > SynTP > TouchPadSMB2cTM2334

(and click it)

(There may be another name for TouchPadSMB2cTM2334 under SynTP menu according to your driver. So just click the menu including the string TouchPad*)

Create 2FingerTapAction file

Right-click anywhere on the right section of the window to create folder, select NEW > DWORD (32 bit) Value

Name it 2FingerTapAction

Right-click the file you created and then click Modify

For Value Data, type “2” and select Hexdecimal for Base

Click OK. Exit the editor

Log out and log back in to your win user, or restart your computer

It should be working fine

Thanks man, this has just resolved a frustration that I lived with for 3 years!!! Yoga 700 (purchased in 2016, still works perfectly... apart from this ;-)

And then BOOM - you resolved it.

Thank you. I created an account just to say thanks haha.

Thanks a lot @hpural  for this solution. works like a charm.

Even after setting it up from the Synaptics menu for 2 finger "Tap" option it did not enable it in the registry

It enabled the 2FingerPressButtonAction for the same instead of 2FingerTapAction.

Modified the correct one and it working as expected.
