My yoga 710 screen is not turning on and is completely black. I have tried holding the power button for 15 seconds until I hear the laptop fan. However, that has not helped. The keyboard light still turns on and I can turn it on and off when I need to. The laptop is still able to charge but I have also disconnected the charger when I have attempted to power it on. Still does not work.
There has been a few issues with it in the past such as the laptop restarting when I take it off my table or move it slightly.
The laptop is approximately 18 months old.
Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
The hardware manual page 21-22 offers ways to isolate the points of failure that you can try.
It would be important to notice the power led status along with the battery indicator.
Try to check if the drained battery (showing amber) would change to white after 1-2 hours being connected to the charger without turning the machine on. We would know if charging if possible specially if we can try another compatible charger or we verified that the ac charger is working ok.
Update us how things go.

I will have a look at the manual you have sent me.
I notice that the battery charges going from amber to white when the laptop is on. However, I have not attempted to monitor the laptop when it is turned off and charging. I will attempt this now as you have suggested.
I have contacted lenovo and they suggested I connect it to an external monitor or go to a technician to see if it is a hardware issue.
Thanks again for your help. I will update.

If it charges amber to white while on, then we know that the transfer of power is ok. You can proceed connecting it to an external monitor to check if the issue is just with the LCD.
Pressing the caps lock button should light up the caps lock led on/off else if not responding and if there are no display on external monitor even if you press the F10 hotkey to toggle, then it is probable for a No Post (power onself test) issue. To this extent, if you have the warranty then tech support would request it to be serviced asap for hardware issue.
