I'm a new owner of the Yoga 720 15''. I've just bought apple thundebrolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter and tried to connect external display using miniDP -> DP cable but with no luck. The same DP cable and monitor works ok on my MacBook (early 2015 with thunderbolt 2 ports). Computer sees the adapter (it's visible in the "printers and other devices" panel) but nothing is shown on my external display (it behaves like there is no cable connected to it and goes to sleep after few minutes).
I've seen on various online stores that the apple adapter should work with my laptop.
Is there something that I'm missing or maybe my T3 -> T2 adapter is broken?

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Unfortunately I have not used thunderbolt adapters before, so I cant confirm, but try to download the Video and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.
Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo!

I'm pretty sure I wrote an reply to my original post but somehow it's not here (maybe I forgot to hit the "post" button ).
Apparently the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter does not support DisplayPort:
So basically it's useless for me (and probably for most people who search for TB3 -> TB2 adapters). I hope this will help someone and prevent from buying it
Today I should get a proper adapter that supports DP also for 4k displays.
