My 2 month old yoga 720 occasionally does this weird thing, when turning the screen from laptop mode to tablet/stand, and back. The screen sometimes glitches out with grey stripes vertically filling the whole screen, or it just might go black.
It seems like a bad connection to the mb or something, so the opening or closing of the screen twists or yanks a wire or something. This is of course irritating and now I'm not overly confident in using the laptop to it's fullest potential, fearing that I'll break something.
So is there any self remedy for the issue, or can I open the machine and check if something is pinched or something?

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
It does indeed sound like it will be a harwdare problem with the connection, could be a faulty cable.
Techincally you can open the unit, but if you damage anything then the warranty will be void, so it would probably be best to simply take advantage of your warranty while you still can, and get in touch with your Lenovo support line for a repair.
Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
