Oh and Star they even took this particular model off their website for about 2-4 weeks while they addressed it, thats how "Widespread" it was. If you don't count them litterally pulling a product from their website and best buy telling me that they wouldn't be recieving any more stock of the UHD models until further notice, you need to be educated on the use of the term "Widespread" because you obviously don't know the meaning.  The UHD model just came back on their website. Also since you own this machine and haven't had an issue do you even own the UHD 4K model or do you have the FHD model and not even know the difference?

You've been reported multiple times now, have fun for the new few miniutes on these forums!

This thread has been temporarily locked by me in order to enable some members to calm down a little and review what they have posted and was subsequently removed from this thread.

In the Community Guidelines it states clearly, for all to see, the following;

"-No personal attacks.

-It is fair to state disagreement with facts or conclusions that another member has posted, but dissent must be expressed in an objective and reasoned manner. Treat others with the respect you wish to receive. Remember that the community is here to share collective experiences and wisdom, with the goal of all members enjoying greater success with their Lenovo products and services. Consider whether your comments serve to advance the discussion in a positive direction."

If someone is requested to justify or provide information to bolster a statement they have made by another member then it is up to that person to respond accordingly and provide, through providing facts and argument, a suitable response.  My advice is to always give some thought to how your post might be interpreted by others before posting it; you may be asked by another member to justify any statement you might make.

Thank you in advance for complying with the Community Guidelines and giving due consideration to what you post before posting.

This thread is now unlocked.

Re: Yoga 720 Display Issue

First Yoga 720 80x7 had the diffuser black line and flickering. Replacement (mfr date 7/28/2017 was OK for 3 days until I tapped the left rear corner of the chassis on my desk to see whether the line would drop down - it did.

My third unit is working well for 6 days now, having no diffuser black line or flickering issues. For the record, date of manufacturing of the laptop is 10/05/2017. It has the same display model and display date of manufacture as the original.

Monitor Name (Manuf): BOE HF NV156QUM-N51

Date Of Manufacture: Week: 1, Year: 2016

I don't think it's the display itself.  I think it is the supporting hardware around the diffuser or whatever.

You're brave.  I am afraid to tap mine!  ;-)

So Starr, Lenovo just sent me my "new" replacement machine with the same specs as you (1TB SDD as well) and as soon as I opened it from the box and turned it on i've got the black line... They sent me an old machine manufactured 9/29/17 in the process of getting them to return this one and send me a new one...AGAIN
