I messaged Andy my serial numbers and what the current status of looking into this issue was, but I haven't heard any response.
I did call customer service about my particular units. They wanted me to send them in for repair, but I don't want to do that until I'm convinced that they have discovered and corrected the root cause.

Can you guys post the Monitor section from HWiNFO? I also have the UHD screen but don't have any problems with it yet. I have seen a few random flickers or flashes, but that's it - no dreaded black line.
Here is mine:

So I just posted this as a separate thread as I didn't notice this existed....
This is where we are at.
It 100% shows on the BIOS. What happens is that the line is so far up the screen you can't see it because the BIOS does not fill 100% of the screen.
Second, I believe this is a physical piece of material. You won't see it on other monitors, it's not software based, and is not hardware based. I say that because on my first laptop it was just there, but on my second laptop it just appeared. It also is appearing on an angle that is slowly but surely getting worse like it is sliding down the screen. The only way it can keep sliding down at an angle like this is if it was a physical piece of material.
I'm super pissed. Nearly $2k in on this laptop and it has a bar across the screen. Lenovo, help us!!

I stopped by Best Buy today to pick up an external HDD and walked by the Lenovos to check out the model I had just ordered directly from the website. Neither of the 2 FHD models on display had the black line, while the UHD screen did.
Clearly this is a very widespread issue, and the fact that display models are showing the defect will likely harm future sales of the UHD model. I would actually bet that this is a hardware issue specific to the 4K screens, and may require a recall unless they are somehow able to fix it through a software patch. Lenovo should really give an update about this soon for everyone's sake.

Yesterday I talked with Lenovo Chat Services and they crecated a repair Ticket,
I'm afraid that the issues would get worse over time. Then I will to send the machine from Argetina to US to repair.
A very bad experience
