Re: Yoga 720 Touchscreen Not Functional (Wacom Driver Issues after Windows Update?)

So, did some looking into Windows 10 ver 1809 this weekend, It's not due until the Fall. I.e. it's the Fall 2018 Creator's update. I'm going to go ahead and wait the 2 more days and see what update we might be getting, if at all. Then I'll be getting back in touch with support for screen warranty.

I have done the update and the touchscreen is still not working.

Maybe this is the end of solutions to try.

Welp as KMS stated newest update didn't fix the touch screen. And it looks like this was the last hope for people like me who has been waiting for an update/patch to fix this for 7~months. I wouldn't be upset if they at least officially stated that this was an issue. I guess only way to fix is by sending the laptop in for repairs.

I noticed sometimes after a windows update my touchscreen comes alive for like 2 hours then stops working.

Now after the latest Windows Update from May 8th, which is the first patch for build 1803 the touchscreen has been working for 2 straight days. See info of update below.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4103721/windows-10-update-kb4103721

I'm amazed that this company doesn't support their products. It's the last time I buy one of their products. I was having another issue with the mouse pointer, it would become pixalated, dissapear and make strange moves due to the scaling of 150%. I fixed it by disabling the lenovo utility, as shown in another forum post.

It's really insane that this company doesn't pay attention to things like that and not bother to fix them.

FWIW:  I was just able to resolve the touchscreen issue, by installing Windows Feature update 1803 (April Feature Update).

The issue began for me last night, immediately after upgrading the bios (to version 5GCN24WW), so I'm almost sure that was the problem.

I have the the newer 12.5 inch version of the 720 series (model YOGA 72012IKB).

Sorry, didn't see that P4bloG just above me posted the same information. It looks like the 1803 update solved things, for us at least.

Downgrading to driver version 7.3.4-28 solved my problem with another tablet (HP Pro x2 612 G1, with Wacom pen support). This driver may be useful or not for Yoga 720.

ISD_DualTouch_7.3.4-28.exe (download link):

I'm glad that worked for both scoobydum and P4loG. But it didn't work for me. KxS and Skiboppen also appear to have not had the touch screen come back to life after the update. Mine's now getting some hardware replaced under warranty.

I have the same issue, only with 520. I am going to hang around here since it is the most updated thread, so I might learn one or two things here.
