Yoga 730-13IKB eGFX/eGPU support

I have found in the specs that the Yoga 730 supports Thunderbolt 3, but I can't find any explicit mention of eGFX or eGPU support. Has any one found a mention of this, or has anyone successfully used an eGFX/eGPU with their 730?

Re: Yoga 730-13IKB eGFX/eGPU support

Hi lenny6,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

eGPU are third party accessories so it is not directly offered by OEM but it does support gaming pleasure with Thunderbolt technology as done in eGPU community members like here. Full specs of eGPU also detailed there.

Independent reviews also mentions its 4 lane PCIe that would be abetter improvement from its predecessor Yoga 720.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Re: Yoga 730-13IKB eGFX/eGPU support

eGPU case like razer Core X ~$300 + GPU like  GTX 1660 ~$300 + good monitor ~$300 as you do not want to use internal due to badwidth limitations - almost makes it double the price Smiley Very Happy

You can see 720 here, https://youtu.be/NTHvPmrt9CU

But is should work great, as 730 13 supports 4x PCIe lanes, I am going to do this setup myself in the future. I want to make it powerfull gaming machine at home.
