Yoga 730 Keyboard Issues After Windows 10 Pro Upgrade

2019-04-18, 18:31 PM

I recently updated my Yoga 730 from Windows 10 to Windows 10 Pro.  Most of the hotkey shortcuts still work, but I noticed my airplane mode hotkey does not work and I do not get any on-screen animations for any of the hotkeys like I used to.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello and Welcome to the Lenovo Forums!

Can you please try to install the following::

Hotkey Integration Driver

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/au/en/downloads/ds031814.

Energy Manager Driver with Yoga Mode Control
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/LAPTOPS-AND-NETBOOKS/YOGA-SERIES/YOGA-730-13IKB/downloads/DS503661

Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Driver
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/LAPTOPS-AND-NETBOOKS/YOGA-SERIES/YOGA-730-13IKB/downloads/DS502482

As for the On-Screen Display, are you referring to the Numlock/Capslock indicator? If yes, try the steps on this article:

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht080929

Once you've installed the above drivers, restart the computer then observe. Let us know if it worked. Thank you!

Hello Nick_Lenovo,

The Energy Manager Driver and the Intel Dynamic Platform Driver both appeared to have installed just fine.  I had an issue with the Hotkey Integration Driver however.  It would not continue to final install sequence.  It would always get held up.  Looking back at the support page for the Hotkey Integration Driver, it appears my model (YOGA 730-13IKB) is not listed under the supported model numbers.  Maybe this is not the correct driver?

Thanks!

Hi!

Thanks for updating us,

If that's the case, you can cancel the installation of the Hotkey Driver, and proceed with checking the functions key with the other driver installed. For the Screen Notification, download Lenovo Utility from Microsoft Store. This enables special key functions and provides On-Screen Display messages.

Regards,
