When I turned my laptop (Yoga 900) on this morning the battery was at about 10% so I plugged it in. When I did, I noticed that the battery wasn't charging and I kept getting a message that the USB drive wasn't recognized. I couldn't trouble shoot fast enough before the battery died. Now the battery is dead and it's not charging. Help!

Hi NMB900 ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Would this be for a Yoga 900-13ISK Laptop ?
You could follow the Power Checkout guide (page 21-22) from the hardware manual .
Plug in the ac charger on the ac port (item 1 page 8) while it is off and observe the battery indicator .
Have it connected for 1-2 hours and see if there are changes on the battery led status (page 28) .
It should progress from blinking amber to blinkin white to solid white.
If there are no battery indicator (off) , it would be best to call in technical support for needed service.
Update us how it goes.

I realize this is a very late reply. I had the same issue. Unfortunately I had to remove the back unplug the battery. Plug the battery back in and have had no issues since.

Make sure all your data is backed up/ cloud hosted all the time. Within a week or so of my Dec '17 post, the laptop battery died for good and support told me it was the motherboard so the laptop was a bust. Still trying to get data off because they used a unique drive in these laptops that no one seems to be able to access (including Geek Squad at Best Buy US,, Micro Center in Minneapolis, and a local tech shop in my neighborhood). Owned the equipment less than a year.
