Yoga 900 Battery drain

Hi,

 

I have an Yoga 900 that worked fine (mostly). However, now I have an annoying issue regarding the battery. 

 

Going from 100% to about 76% could take about 2 hours, but... from 76% to 6% takes a minute. It doesnt downscale normally, but rather jumps immediately down to 6% and then warns me about low battery... 

 

With this issue, the computer is completely useless without the powercord...so, its a bit useless as a laptop yes.

 

Would really appreciate any help here!!

 

Running Win 10 with the latest updates.

Welcome to the Community Forums. 

 

Check if this help article applies to your case and verify both BIOS and audio versions. 

 

Manually allowing it to drain then charge it helps in some case other wise you can try steps discussed here on this discussion.

Hi Spidey,

 

thanks for the help!

 

1. I had that BIOS already

2. Installed audio drivers.

3. Battery issue remains, when I started this post i had 97%, now I have 90%, and trust me, Im not a slow writer Smiley Very Happy

Hi tonijj , 

 

As you have already tried those steps specially with both audio / BIOS update ,including battery gauge reset , I would suggest to create a battery report while unplugged and call in tech support

 

They would be able to compare the report to how battery levels goes down and provide needed assistance for this.
